To be clear, I don't know that I necessarily dropped off, or "retired", or anything like that, but I did not touch a camera very much from late May 2022 to June 2023.
So with a "year off", I found myself feeling like I was ready to come back to creativity in the summer of 2023, and I set out to plan a "comeback" project. And studio was the order of the day.

I contacted model Liz, after we had been discussing now and then about shooting for a few years, and the plan was made. The results are below, and I can say with full honesty that I didn't push a shutter button for ages before I set foot in the studio that day. What a strange experience, to feel confident but also oddly lost, all at once. But it was worth it, and it felt great "to be back".
I called my homie Cori to join the fun on makeup/hair, and off we went.
