Why I make Photoshop Actions the way I do...

So when it comes to the Photoshop Actions that I offer, please keep some key things in mind:

I don't design Actions sets to be some sort of "procedural" thing, where you should use *this* set first, then *this* one, then the *next* one, then finish with the *last* one (or anything like that).  I am not, and never have been, trying to "sell a specific process" as much as I am trying to add a wide range of powerful workflow tools into the market.  That way, every artist can find the right tool they need from NBP, or several (or all), to make their work and workflow into what they truly want it to be.

So innocent questions like, "Why do you have Freqsep Pro, Freqsep MB Pro, and now Skin Texture Pro (coming Oct 2025) when they seem to have some overlap?" are kind of missing my entire idea –– you see, I am not ever trying to say, "This toolset is all you need and it's what I use and therefore it's perfect and you should buy it."  No, instead, I offer varying tools for varying artists doing varying things!  I work very hard to endure minimal redundancy across toolsets, but I also know that separating functions and workflows in logical ways is far more useful and practical than ever trying to engineer up some "mega Actions" that allegedly does everything.  My Actions are complex enough as it is (haha) but I tailor them to be functional, practical and flexible without making them obnoxiously bloated.

In fact, if use any of my Actions that produce advanced layer stacks, and you think, "Wow this is absurdly complex" then my friend, you should see some of the Actions and layer stacks I've seen (and made) out in the wild.  Photoshop layers can become entire complex "systems" if you set them up certain ways, with literally hundreds of layers doing advanced, flexible calculations and functions for endless things.  However, such layer sets are almost never for artists trying to make great art in Photoshop, so I work to make mine practical, usable, and dynamic.  And I always have detailed videos teaching you how they work!

Finally, I keep the prices fair.  I'd rather get workflow tools out there in artists hand, while making a modest living on this stuff, than try to price gouge an already strained market.  I got you!
